with open and welcoming hands

and a welcoming pose

Old golden story

Interesting lintel

Pottery of metal

Very old stone figures

Really old stone guys

and a Chinese hat

The Met had a new and very large-scale Greek exhibit that we caught at the end of the day, but was very interesting, especially with the large pieces.

Starting with a very Greek-looking leader

Very masculine, except for the hair

Man and wife/daughter - note how big this is compared to the people behind it

Three leaders - These are pretty cool, as I've never seen such sculptures before, with busts inset in a momument

An entire tub / burial chamber adorned with the people - this is quite large and very impressive up close

More sculptures of the people

Mom and son

Wall fresco

Leader's head

Sphinx

More Sphinx

Tall thin woman

Vase

Head - fierce !
